How to set up cPanel email on Android
Use your hosting email in a real app instead of opening webmail in the browser.
Most shared hosting (Bluehost, HostGator, Namecheap shared hosting, A2, InMotion and many local hosts) runs cPanel. cPanel gives you webmail at yourdomain.com/webmail, but on a phone a proper app is far more comfortable: notifications, a clean inbox and one tap to reply.
- Install ECOMHUTSY WebmailDownload the APK and install it.
- Sign in with your cPanel email addressEnter the full address (for example
info@yourcompany.com) and the mailbox password, the one you use for webmail. - Let the app find the serverThe app tries
mail.yourcompany.comand the domain's mail records and connects by itself. - If needed, enter the settings yourselfChoose Server settings: incoming
mail.yourcompany.comport 993, outgoingmail.yourcompany.comport 465.
Where to find the password
The mailbox password is set in cPanel under Email Accounts. If you forgot it, choose Manage next to the address and set a new one. It is not your cPanel login password unless you made them the same.
Common problems
- "The email address or password is not correct": sign in to
yourdomain.com/webmailto confirm the password. - "The mail server did not answer": your domain's DNS may point elsewhere (for example to Cloudflare). Use your server's host name from cPanel's Connect Devices page.
- Sent emails do not show: wait a few seconds and refresh. Some servers file sent mail a moment later.
Using a computer too? The Windows app guide shows the same setup on a PC.
Questions and answers
Is cPanel webmail the same as Roundcube?
Roundcube is the webmail program cPanel offers in the browser. ECOMHUTSY Webmail reads the same mailbox, so everything stays in sync.
Will my emails stay on the server?
Yes. The app uses IMAP, so your email stays on your hosting and shows the same everywhere.
