A Roundcube webmail app for Android
Roundcube is a website, not an app. Here is how to get your Roundcube mailbox into a proper Android app.
Roundcube is the webmail many hosts give you in the browser (often at yourdomain.com/webmail). It has no official Android app, and in a phone browser it is small and slow to use. The good news: Roundcube is only a window onto your mailbox. Any IMAP app can open the same mailbox.
- Find your Roundcube addressYour email address is the one you sign in to Roundcube with.
- Install ECOMHUTSY WebmailDownload the APK.
- Sign in with the same email and passwordThe app finds your server, or use the host name your Roundcube runs on (often
mail.yourdomain.com).
What you get compared with Roundcube in the browser
| Roundcube in a browser | ECOMHUTSY Webmail app | |
|---|---|---|
| New-mail notifications | No | Yes, within seconds |
| Conversations | Basic threads | Chat-style conversations |
| Primary, Promotions, Social | No | Yes |
| Schedule send, snooze | No | Yes |
| Several mailboxes | One at a time | All in one app |
Your Roundcube folders, filters and signatures on the server keep working, because both read the same mailbox.
